We are having an amazing time here in the ACES office as we look back at some of our achievements over the years. We cannot believe that 10 years ago we started to run our school workshops in West London schools such as Drayton Green Primary School and Green School for Girls.
Our first project at the Green School was sponsored by the JH Centre. The fruits of supporting students within the community were truly apparent when Ronique Sylvestor spoke about the benefits of the ACES Youth Project and the support that she had received.
‘This project has been a great support for me. It made me realise that I can achieve. I hope that the sponsors know that they are truly impacting the lives of many young people.’
Ronique took part in the project when she was in Year 8 and was supported throughout her A’ levels. She went on to embark on an International Studies degree at Warwick University.
Many of the students who took part in the ACES Youth Project have gone on to further education and like Ronique are now working and giving back to their community.
We are delighted that the projects that we create, develop and run have such lasting impact.
We certainly could not have achieved so much without the partnership of students, parents, schools, professionals, mentors and various organisations.
