With only 42% of children of African Caribbean heritage achieving 5 or more GCSE passes at grade A*- C, we are pleased to see that every year since our first project with Year 10 students at the Green School for Girls (Hounslow) students who participated in the ACES programme have realised the importance of refocusing and pursuing their dreams.

R, Sylvester told us back in 2009 how the project had helped her in her quest to study International Studies at university.

Despite the figures that there are more black boys in prison than at university, majority of the boys on the 2007 year 9 programme have now settled in university. They are determined to improve their life chances and are clearly not phased by tuition fees. Keep up the great work guys!
